Cut a slab to form the base of your vessel.

You can then start adding coils to form the walls.

After you are finished with your first layer, blend the inside of the coil to the base to add strength to your construction.

Be creative with the direction and form of your coils.

DON'T FORGET to score each coil ...

and wet each coil before adding it to your construction.

It will also help to score the inside of your vessel to add strength as you add layers.

Score and smooth every couple of layers because if you wait until the end you may not be able to reach the bottom layers.

Remember smoothing the layers will add strength so that your coils don't fall apart after drying.

When finished, sign the bottom of your vessel.
